Two of my favorite things, poetry and sex... I really liked this.  Reminds me of so many over confident psycho poets I knew/know-- and fun to see Emma Roberts playing something other than a bitchy blonde.

No lol-moments.

Maybe a chuckle.

Begin Again

The songs definitely came first.  They are good, but the movie was written to showcase the songs.

Wasn't that the plot of Once as well?  They were making a record?  Funny, I only saw Once once, and when it first came out almost ten years ago.

I found the end to be a bit unsatisfactory.

I feel very "meh".

I remember this movie the same.  There is a bunch of flying around, goose dies, and some more flying around.  Homo erotic overtones.  Definite dude movie.

I don't know if it was because I was distracted by the tweeting, but... I really didn't/don't know what is going on here.

There are rules to Nicholas Sparks' stories:

1. Men are always manly and they will throw punches.  But only for very important principals.
2. Unless they are bad guys.  There are always some assholes that ruin everything.
3.  People are always in love with the person they lost their virginity to.
4. There will always be at least one tragic death.
5. I will always, always cry.

No seriously, I can't even handle this right now.  I just wanted to make jokes about how the guy who plays Young Dawson looks the same age as Old Dawson.

I kind of liked this movie, but it kind of made me mad.  Why does this whiny, needy, neurotic chick have two great guys in love with her?  Oh yeah, beacause it's a movie.  With plenty of nudity (you've always wanted to see Sarah Silverman's bush right?), and some rather hot sex scenes.

So what is the lesson?  It comes in the middle:  even new things gets old.

Hey here's a super depressing movie.

Based on a Judy Blume novel.

But there's no outdated lessons on getting your period (do they leave that stuff about maxi pad belts in the new editions?)... or about women masturbating while driving (see: Wifey).

Jersey Girl

Not terrible, but sorry Larry King, I wouldn't say "Terrific!"  Dated, like most Kevin Smith movies are these days.  But where were Jay & Silent Bob?  Oh yeah, this is after they striked back?  Didn't they die in that movie?  I'm getting old.

Streamed on Netflix because sometimes you just have to watch those movies that have been in your queue forever.

For a Good Time, Call...

This is just really one of my favorite movies.  It's a hilarious girlfriend love story.  And it's a little raunchy.  And Justin Long as the gay bff is great.  I just want to live with these girls.

Those teenage out of control party movies are hilarious.  How could it not be even funnier when it's about some 40 something ladies trying to relive those party days?  And when it's Tina and Amy?  I loved it.

Magic Mike XXL

This is my second viewing -- saw it in the theater last summer, where I complained about the lack of dancing.  What?!  That's all this movie is.  There is very little plot.  There could be more of Channing Tatum topless.  But then I would need a bigger TV.

This is also a good movie to blare at high volume while your downstairs neighbors are having their own loud party.

Adult Beginners

I liked this a lot.  Not in a watch it over and over kind of way.  Kind of a dark humor flick, my fave, but not like hilarious.

Your Sister's Sister

I have a penchant for choosing dark comedies that are more depressing than funny.

I don't know how to describe this movie without spoiling it.

I'm not sure I liked it... and the ending was grrrr...
