There was a point in the first half where I was starting to get a cheesy Nicholas Sparks vibe, thinking this girls whole decision to live or die was going to be based on how much she loves her boyfriend--really, why take so much time chronicling the relationship? (The movie did flip back and forth between present and flashbacks, sometimes out of order, but I guess it works.)
But in the end, the movie comes to the perfect conclusion for all the right reasons.
Vague enough?
